Neither is toenail fungus (Onychomycosis) attractive and nor is it healthy, for it can get inside your circulatory system to cause a whole set of harmful diseases and disorders. If left untreated, it can cause the toenail to fall of permanently.
They can occur due to a number of reasons like an environment factor, too much contact with water, weak immunity and so on. Nonetheless, they are completely treatable and that too at home. Some of the most helpful and common home remedies for toenail fungus are:
- Coconut oil: Simply wash and pat your feet completely dry. Then just dab the corners of your toes with some natural coconut oil, and keep doing it for at least two times during the day. Wear a pair of socks after application for best results.
- Apple cider vinegar: Add water and apple cider vinegar in a tub in an equal ratio. Soak your fungus infested foot into it for thirty minutes before patting it dry. Do this at least three times a week for best results.
- Mouthwash: Trust us on this. Just add a string mouthwash with some vinegar in a tub and soak your feet in it. Then gently scrub your fungus infested toenail for a few minutes. Repeat it daily to get rid of the infection.
